“Helping Others, Help Themselves” Initiative

"Our Mission is to give back to families in need and be a part of a community that strives for greatness within their children and families." 
Through the helping others, help themselves initiative, we will provide monthly voucher assistance to selected families through referred community agencies, churches, schools, and through TRDLF website submissions.  we will access the needs of submitted families requests. The families selected will receive one (1) voucher to obtain needed household items, clothing, rent assistance, and or utilities help for selected month.
 
Types of Items provided:
  • Household goods- Dishes, silverware, microwave, washer and dryers, yard equipment, toaster, bed linen (all sizes), beds, furniture, and other essential items available.
  • Clothing items- Clothes (men, woman and children), shoes and boots, socks, under garments, and coats.
  • Financial assistance- Partial rental and utilities assistance
​Requirements for Service:
  • Identification- Texas Driver’s license or Texas Identification
  • Proof of Residence- Current Lease or Warranty Deed
  • Verification of Utility needs- Current Past due Bill
  • Proof of Income- Last 30 days of Check stubs or First page of last year tax filings
 
Families are encouraged to apply through the website, but other agency can submit on a client’s behalf and contact will be made within 48 hours of submission. Please contact us at 612-701-3661 for additional assistance or for information about this program.
